How can I support the shelter?
Thank you so much for your willingness to help! All current ways to support us — financially, materially, creatively, or as a volunteer — are listed on our Support page.
What are donations used for?
Donations help us cover food, medical treatment and sterilizations, construction and repairs, care for animals with special needs, transportation, and the overall maintenance of the shelter. Every coin goes directly toward helping our animals.
Where can I see reports on how funds are spent?
We believe in transparency. Financial reports, purchase summaries, and photo updates are regularly shared on our social media. More detailed information is also available upon request.
Can I visit the shelter?
Yes, we’d love to welcome you! Please contact us in advance to arrange a visit — we’ll explain how to get here and give you a short tour.
How can I adopt an animal from your shelter?
Just reach out to us on social media. We’ll let you know who’s currently looking for a home and help you find your perfect match
How can I become a volunteer at your shelter?
We’re always happy to welcome new volunteers! Send us a message — we’ll explain how you can help, what a typical shift looks like, and even how to support us remotely.
What kind of help do you need the most?
It depends on the season and our current needs, but we often need food, bedding, building materials, medical care, promotion, and of course, financial support. You can find full details on our Support page.
What is spaying/neutering and why is it important?
Sterilization is one of the most effective ways to reduce the number of stray animals. It prevents accidental litters, lowers the risk of certain diseases, and helps improve the overall wellbeing of both pets and the community.
What should I do if I find a stray animal?
First, check if the animal is injured, then take it to a veterinarian. You’re always welcome to contact us — we’ll guide you through what to do next.
How can I support your shelter if I don't have time to volunteer?
You can help from a distance by spreading the word, supporting our fundraising efforts, donating, or offering creative support. Every contribution matters.
What vaccines are required for pets?
For dogs: rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and leptospirosis.
For cats: rabies, panleukopenia, calicivirus, and rhinotracheitis.
We recommend checking with your vet for a personalized vaccination schedule.
What should I do if my pet goes missing?
Start looking right away: hang posters, post on social media and in local pet groups, check shelters and vet clinics. If your pet is microchipped, report the loss to the database. And don’t forget to let us know — we’ll help too!
What are common challenges after adoption?
Some animals may experience stress or anxiety, especially if they’ve had a difficult past. House training can also take time. We’re always here to support new families and guide them through the adjustment period.
What illnesses are common among stray animals and how can they be prevented?
Strays often suffer from parasites, viral infections, and malnutrition. Regular vet checkups, vaccinations, hygiene, and care can prevent most issues and give these animals a healthy new start.
